Nurse Burris’ medical classes have had a busy October! At the beginning of the month, the Medical Terminology class had to choose an integumentary system disease/disorder, create an informative page, and decorate a pumpkin to represent that disease/disorder.

On October 16, the Medical Terminology class toured the Grayson College Health Science Department. Students were able to see the EMT, Nursing, Dental, Surgical Technology, and Radiology departments.

Today, they learned about the chain of infection and how to break it in Principles of Health Science. They learned that wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) is one way to break the chain.
