Nurse Burrisโ medical classes have had a busy October! At the beginning of the month, the Medical Terminology class had to choose an integumentary system disease/disorder, create an informative page, and decorate a pumpkin to represent that disease/disorder.
On October 16, the Medical Terminology class toured the Grayson College Health Science Department. Students were able to see the EMT, Nursing, Dental, Surgical Technology, and Radiology departments.
Today, they learned about the chain of infection and how to break it in Principles of Health Science. They learned that wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) is one way to break the chain.
Great job, Howe Health Science and Nurse Burris!

Senior picture day for the yearbook is Monday, September 29. This will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Guys need to wear a light colored t-shirt, and girls need to wear a tank top under their shirt. This is the last session for official yearbook photos. You do not have to participate if you already took your picture during the summer.
