Our Spring GT Nomination Window opens February 26, 2026. Nomination packets will be available in the Intermediate School campus office.
Parents and teachers of students in grades 1st and 3rd -8 th who wish to nominate their child/student to be screened for possible placement in the Howe ISD GT Program for the 2026-2027 school year may pick up a nomination packet from their campus office.
Students in Kindergarten and 2nd grade are automatically screened each year and DO NOT need to submit nomination packets. Students who are already in the GT Program will continue their placement for the 2026-2027 school year.
Our GT program serves students in the areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies. It requires that a child be creative and original in expression, task committed, and willing and able to use higher-level thinking skills.
DEADLINE FOR CONSIDERATION: Nomination forms must be filled out completely and returned to HIS office by March 12, 2026, by 3 p.m. Late nominations WILL NOT be accepted.
