Enrolling New Students

To enroll a new student(s) in Howe ISD, you need the following:

  • A copy of child’s Birth Certificate

  • A copy of child’s Social Security Card

  • A copy of Driver’s License of person enrolling student

  • A copy of the child's immunization records

  • Withdrawal form from former school

  • Proof of residence

The following forms of proof of residency are acceptable if they show your name and address as it appears on the enrollment form:

  • Utility bill (electric or water)

  • Lease agreement

  • Notarized affidavit from homeowner if you are living with a relative

Transfer Students

Transfer students will need all the required information above as well as the completion of the Transfer Application below. See the Transfer Letter for more information from our superintendent.

New-to-Howe Student Registration

Are you a brand new Howe student?

Follow these steps to get started:


Step 1: Access Ascender Parent Portal by clicking button above. Login using your existing Ascender Parent Portal Login, or select "Create an Account" to set one up.

Step 2: Select the link labeled "Enroll a New Student"

Step 3: Follow the prompts to complete the online registration.

Step 4: Email the following documents to the campus registrar (contact information at the top of this page) or drop them off at the campus front office on Monday's from 8-4

  • Immunization Record

  • Proof of Residence (Rental contract or Utility Bill with valid address)

  • Social Security Card (For your Child)

  • Proof of Birth

  • Photo Copy of Parent ID (Drivers License)

  • Proof of Income

Returning Students - Annual Registration

Online registration for all returning students opens ___________, 2024!

This annual information update is required for all returning students and must be completed prior to the first day of school (August 13, 2024). 

Follow these steps to get started:


Step 1: Access Ascender Parent Portal by clicking button above. Login using your existing Ascender Parent Portal Login, or select "Create an Account" to set one up.
Forgot your password? Simply click Forgot Password on the login screen and follow the prompts to reset it.

Step 2: From the "Summary" tab, select "Begin Registration" below each student name and follow the on-screen prompts. 

Step 3: Don't forget to click "Submit" after all forms have been completed. Please complete each form with as much accurate information as possible.
