The Howe ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Ritchie Bowling was named Lone Finalist at a special board meeting last night. Mr. Bowling has served as the superintendent of Maypearl ISD for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years in Howe as Elementary Principal, Middle School Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. As required by law, the district must wait 21 days before officially hiring Mr. Bowling, but it intends to do that at a special meeting on December 2. Mr. Bowling will bring with him a wealth of knowledge and experience as a proven leader, and his understanding of the Howe community and culture should make for a seamless transition.
Howe ISD is happy to welcome Mr. Bowling and his family - wife Cari and children Scarlett, Harper and Lincoln - back to Howe and looks forward to his leadership at HISD.
