Clay Wilson | Principal
Mr. Wilson has 17 years’ experience in school administration and 22 years’ total experience in education. He began his teaching career in Norman Oklahoma and Kemp, Texas. While at Kemp Junior High, he was named Teacher of the Year in 1997-1998. He then served as Assistant Principal at Mabank High School. Mr. Wilson was hired as Howe Middle School Principal in 2004 and continued as principal through the 2006-2007 school year. He spent six years as Assistant Superintendent for Howe ISD before rejoining the Howe Middle School staff as Principal in 2013. Mr. Wilson graduated with Distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 1995. He then earned his Master’s Degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2001. Mr. Wilson and his wife Alicia, a 2nd grade teacher at Howe Elementary School, have three children – Jackson, Eli and Mia.
Michael Segleski | Assistant Principal
Mike Segleski joined Howe ISD in August, 2017 as Middle School Assistant Principal and Boys Coach. Prior to joining Howe ISD, he was Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Aubrey ISD. He has also been a teacher/coach at Princeton, Collinsville, Pilot Point, Denton Ryan, and Whitehouse. Mr. Segleski strives to help Mr. Wilson maintain a strong academic campus at the Middle School. His duties include discipline, attendance, T-Tess evaluations, and overseeing ARD's among other things. Mr. Segleski received his Bachelor's Degree from University of Texas at Tyler in 1995 and is completing his Master's Degree through Sul Ross State University. Mr. Segleski believes in helping continue the strong academic standards that Howe ISD has developed. His wife is a teacher at the Elementary School. Mr. Segleski and his wife have two daughters. The oldest attends the University of North Texas and the other is enjoying her time at Howe HS.
