Clarissia Doty | Principal
Clarissia Doty has served as the Howe Elementary School Principal since June, 2014. With 22 years of educational experience, Clarissa Doty began her role Her Howe ISD career began as a substitute teacher at Howe Elementary School in December, 1994. In the spring of that year, a long-term substitute position evolved into a full-time teaching position as a kindergarten teacher. Her career with Howe Elementary School has included teaching kindergarten and third grade, and also service as Dean of Students prior to being named Principal. Her long career with Howe Elementary has garnered recognition as Teacher of the Month and Teacher of the Year (District and Elementary). As a graduate of Howe High School, she has focused her career in shaping Howe schools to be the best they can be. Mrs. Doty earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Mrs. Doty and her husband, Michael, are the proud parents of three daughters.
Matt Boykin | Assistant Principal
Mr. Boykin joined Howe ISD at the start of the 2015-2016 school year as Assistant Elementary Principal. He leads an Early Intervention team, is 504 Coordinator, is Campus Testing Coordinator, assists with curriculum and discipline, tracks textbooks/consumables, and helps with the teacher evaluation process. Prior to joining Howe Elementary, he served in an administrative capacity for one year at Richardson ISD. He also served was an educator for eleven years within Tom Bean ISD. He was a state convention presenter on CSCOPE, and was videotaped for Region 10 Transformational Teacher Cadre. Mr. Boykin earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Elementary Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He completed his Principal Certification at Lamar University. Mr. Boykin and his wife are the proud parents of a daughter.
