District Improvement Plan
The purpose of the Improvement Plan is to align goals, objectives, strategies, and actions which will ultimately reflect high levels of performance for all students and student groups, close achievement gaps, and support systematic change to sustain excellence over time. The planning process is directly linked to, and begins with, the Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA). When conducted thoroughly, the CNA identifies strengths and weaknesses, and specifies priorities for developing and revising plans which address student achievement outcomes through challenging academic standards and performance expectations.
The Howe Independent School District reviews and revises the improvement plans on an annual basis. Initial plan development and yearly revisions are made by the Improvement Committee, whose membership includes administrators, teachers, parents and community members.
