Welcome to the Howe ISD Police Department
The mission of the Howe ISD Police Department is to effectively and efficiently provide for the protection of lives and property, preserve the public peace, and with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards, provide the school district administration specialized services, strengthening their ability to prepare students for the challenges of the future. It is the goal of the Howe ISD Police Department to educate and defer students away from the criminal justice system, whenever possible and allowed by law.
It is the policy of the Howe ISD Police Department to give equal treatment, under the law, to all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, politics, national origin, lifestyle, or similar characteristics. The officers of the Howe ISD Police Department will only stop or detain citizens when reasonable suspicion or probable cause exists to believe they have committed, are committing, or are about to commit a violation of the law, or for other lawful purposes. Officers of the Howe ISD Police Department are strictly prohibited from initiating any action that constitutes racial or biased-based profiling.

It is the goal of the Howe ISD Police Department to treat all people with dignity and respect. If you have cause to believe that this has not been the case, there is a process which will allow you to file a formal complaint against an officer. Likewise, if you believe an officer has done an outstanding job, there is a process in place which will allow you to file a formal commendation to recognize the officer.
