2019 School Board Trustee Election - May 4, 2019
School Board Election Information
Howe ISD will begin accepting applications for candidates for the May 4, 2019, Board of Trustees Election on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. The deadline for filing for place on the May 4th ballot is Friday, February 15, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.
All school board positions are three-year turems and represent the entire school district. All Howe ISD residents who meet the eligibility requirements specified in Board Policy BBA (Legal) may run for a position in the Board of Trustee election. Two board positions will be up for election this year:
~ At-Large, currently held by Greg Akins
~At-Large, currently held by Jeff Denham
Candidate packets can be picked up beginning Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Howe ISD Administration Office located at 105 W. Tutt St., Howe, TX 75459 and are also available at the link above.

Early voting by personal appearance will be begin on April 22, 2019, and continue through April 30, 2019 at the Howe Community Center, 700 W. Haning, Howe, 75459. Voting will be available Monday, April 22, 2019 - Friday, April 26, 2019 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and Monday, April 29, 2019 - Tuesday, April 30, 2019 between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
Applications for ballot by mail should be mailed to: Grayson County Early Voting Clerk, 115 W. Houston, Sherman, TX 75090
Applications for ballots by mail must be received no later than the close of business on April 23, 2019.
Election day voting will be held from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the following locations:
Howe Community Center, 700 W. Haning, Howe, 75459
Dorchester Town Hall, 373 Main St., Dorchester, 75459 (in the event that the City of Dorchester does not hold an election the Dorchester site will not be open)
