Graduation and Prom Information

  • In his recent executive order, Governor Abbott authorized Texas high schools to hold outdoor graduation ceremonies beginning May 29.  In light of this announcement, we have moved our graduation up to that date.  We apologize for all of the changes, but we felt like this was more in line with traditional graduation dates.  Additionally, there is concern that a spike in COVID-19 cases could lead to another prohibition, and we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity when it was available.  Please see below for details regarding graduation as well as prom.

    Graduation

    Howe High School Graduation is now scheduled for May 29, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.  As we are required to adhere to strict social distancing guidelines, each graduate will receive 5 tickets for family and guests.  This number is subject to change, but as of this date that is the maximum allowed per the Governor’s order.  Additional details from HHS administration will be communicated early next week.

    Prom

    We had tentatively scheduled a Prom photo opportunity for May 23.  Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel that event.  The current guidelines prohibit multiple in-person gatherings for students, and obviously graduation takes precedence over prom.

COVID-19 UPDATE

  • In an attempt to minimize exposure to the COVID-19 (corona virus) outbreak, Howe ISD will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. During this time, all extracurricular activities and other school events will be canceled.  Please see the documents below for more details and updates when they become available.

Howe ISD School Meals Information

  • Bulldog
    We will continue to provide meals duirng the extended school closure.  However, we will begin distributing meals once a week on Monday's ONLY.  Beginning Monday, April 6, we will provide lunch and breakfast for the entire week at the follow times.
     
    Pick-up Times/Locations
    10:45 am-11:15 am - Pradera Trailer Park (by the front office)
    11:30 am-11:45 am - Westwood Manor Apartments (by main office)
    11:45 am- 12:00 pm - Summit Hill sub division (at intersection of Douglas and Tobin streets)
    11:30 am-12:00 pm- HMS/HIS Cafeteria (in the bus lane)
