Rocket Club Rocket Club is an after school club for all 4th grade students. The club meets for 6 weeks during the fall semester to build and launch a rocket! For more information contact a 4th Grade Teacher.
Every fall, students in 4th grade have the opportunity to participate in Howe Elementary's Rocket Club. Local engineer Ted Mahler and the fourth grade teachers lead the team of "rockteers." The club teachs students the principles behind building and launching a rocket.
Rocket club meets every Thursday after school for six weeks.
The blast off is the final phase of learning as students from 4th grade integrate the science they are learning in the classroom into a "real world" experiment.
The project involves building a rocket from materials one would likely find in their garage and learning how to make them soar.
