The decision to close school for snow, ice, or other emergency conditions is made to protect the safety and well-being of students and employees. The following radio and television stations are contacted whether school is closed for the full day, opens late, or is dismissed after students have arrived at school. This information will also be posted on our web site as soon as it is available.
Every effort is made to notify the media by 5:30 a.m. of full-day closings or late openings. In cases of early dismissal, the media will be notified as soon as the decision is made. The decision to close or dismiss school early is made in anticipation of unsafe conditions.
