The scrapbooking night is scheduled for July 25, 2008 at 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. $10.00 is all it costs - we will provide pizza, drinks, and cookies. Proceeds from the night will benefit projects of the "Friends of the Library". Space is limited to 10 participants so call the library at 903-532-5519 to reserve you a spot.
Howe High School student, Sarah Fulton, recently completed her Girl Scout Gold Award Project by remodeling the Howe Community Library storage room. Miss Fulton's spent many hours planning the project with great detail. She also assisted with the building of shelves. Then she created a system for organizing supplies and materials. Sarah received her Gold Award from Kathy Cloninger, the CEO of Girl Scouts USA at the Texas Capitol building on June 9, 2008.
The Friends of the Howe Library and family members honored Miss Fulton with a reception on June 29 at the Howe Community Library. The Howe librarian, Becky Hogenson, presented a plaque to Miss Fulton recognizing her achievement and hard work. The library invites the community to come by the library to see Miss Fulton's Gold Award Project.
